trash the dress session

one of the best things about being on twitter is that you link up with photographers from all over randomly. A few days ago, this talented guy came my way.  Ari Simphoukham. And look at what I found on his blog- awesome!!!

yeah, she’s a professional, but this is still great inspiration for us regular girls! Channel your inner kid and get climbing ladies! Check out Ari’s website and blog for more! Good stuff.

engagement session location: at home (in bed)

Okay, so this next one comes from another of my fav photographers, Sarah Evans. She asked Jessica & Todd what they liked to do and they said hang around the house and relax-so that’s how their shoot started! These images are so fun, and apparently, are a perfect portrayal of the couple.

This couple did do some other fun setups for their session, including a 1940’s style shoot that was featured on Vintage Glam Weddings Blog. You can see that and more on Sarah Evan’s blog.  Tomorrow, I’ll have my weekly inspiration board and a pretty picture to send you off for the weekend!

engagement session location: home

I’m switching up this week’s theme on unique style a bit to share some engagement sessions that have a unique touch with you. Have you ever considered doing an engagement session at home, rather than heading out to some public location? I have two different at home sessions for you to check out- the first is from Amelia Lyon with couple Sean and Danielle.

playful post nuptial session by Wandering Bohemian Photography

I’m so excited to be back up and running so that I can share these fun photos by Ivy Darling from Wandering Bohemian Photography. Her style is so bright and artistic- I am such a fan of hers! This is Naomi and Chad at Franklin Square in Center City, Philadelphia.

First, Naomi’s beautiful details: Naomi wore her grandmother’s dress and found a vintage veil from the 1940’s at a funky retro shop in Pennsylvania. I’m liking those gloves.

engagement session at neon boneyard

Okay, so the boneyard thing for wedding photography isn’t a new concept, but I can’t get enough! (kinda like well done candy buffets at weddings- who cares how many people do them- if they’re done right- everyone raves about them!) So, in my quest to discover more about all the wedding photographers that were named Top 10 in the World by American Photo Mag, I came across these by Jessica Claire. Real couple Kris Ann and JP.  Love!

Why is that wedding chapel sign so perfect- so cute. I absolutely love Jessica’s work! There are a ton more of these on her blog.

scenic backgrounds for wedding photos

Funkytown Photography is a Canadian based company with a truly dynamic portfolio. They utilize unconventional backdrops for their wedding photography and produce amazing photos! Their more traditional pictures are equally great.  I’ve taken a few of their most interesting photos from their site to show you- but there’s a lot more where these came from. They make a rainy day look good!
