using vintage skeleton keys in your wedding

My first stop was etsy- I found tons of stuff with a search for vintage keys under “supplies.”

keysfrom TimeTravelTeaParty and gypsymarket on etsy. You can find sellers with one key or sets of various sizes. Vintage keys are also for sale on ebay.

keys61Keys hanging from branches could be a great entry way display for escort cards. I also love the simple,  graphic image from the favor box. (from design mom)

keys5Cards from colorbutton etsy shop, found with a search in “paper goods.” Inspiration for a Save-the-Date maybe.

key pendants from Tiffany & Co. These beautiful pieces come in a wide price range- sterling silver up to platinum, with or without diamonds- all sophisticated, stylish and elegant. I’ll take two please!

inspired by: Valley Flower Company

I stumbled upon Morgan from Valley Flower Company’s flickr photos and then found my way to her store’s blog. Check out these fun decorations she did for a fundraiser at her local children’s science museum.

Thousands of silk rose petals were used to make this work of art!

I emailed Morgan to get more details on the decor and to find out if they’d be fitting for a DIY bride. Here’s what she had to say:

“The decorations are VERY d.i.y…the orbs in front of the stage are all paper mache done with colored tissue around balloons, I then just cut the tops off in random sizes. The hanging circles of color is just fabric stretched in random sized embroidery hoops. The mobiles are done with hoops and card stock. Super duper easy.”

Thank you so much Morgan for sharing the details on your fantastic decorations! Be sure to check out the Valley Flower Company if your near West Lebanon, NH and the blog for flower inspiration.

Check back in a few for a board inspired by these pics!

When I saw this photo, I thought it was too cute! A great way to start off today. I would love to have a picture like this from my wedding. If you’re having a smaller, more intimate wedding where you could fit all of your guests into one shot- this would be perfect!
