Home Inspired Wedding- Peach and Gray

I have come across sooo much great inspiration for home decor on Pinterest. Many of them make me think of weddings, so I’ll be creating some palettes based on my favorites.

This bedroom stood out to me because of how the peach and patterns stand out against the gray. For this wedding, I’m picturing a somewhat casual, comfortable affair. It’s not overly girly- but there are a few details that are distinctly feminine. The bride’s dress would be sweet and romantic; and crisp white table linens that mimic the bed’s comforter. Other details that are a must are one or two bold patterns like these pillows. These could be implemented though napkins, menus, and of course the invites!

Finally, I love the traditional elements- the headboard and detailing of the stools… maybe seen in frames throughout the wedding? The beauty about using a photo like this for inspiration is that its a great foundation- and can be interpreted in many ways!

Enjoy!

wedding showcase: yellow and gray details

Gray really is one of my favorite neutrals and you can see why below. It makes yellow look fabulous.

Using a mix of darker grays like charcoal and even black add a nice touch.

Donations were made to the Lance Armstrong foundation and guests received Livestrong wristbands as favors. What a great way to tie in the theme and make a difference at the same time.

fun in the photobooth:

You have to check out The Nichols Blog to see more. (so many more beautiful images!) Thanks to Jennifer for allowing me to share these on Pretty Chicky and congrats to Baovy and Vu!

Whenever you just can’t decide what you want choose (like which color palette to choose, which location to pick, which dress), don’t you just admire those people that seem to have it all figured out already? Ugh! They seem so lucky!

That’s the feeling I got when looking at pictures of Baovy and Vu on The Nichols Blog. This gorgeous couple seemed to have it all figured out from the get-go. Look at how well their engagement session tied into their BEAUTIFUL wedding! I love it!  oh, and yellow and gray = super chic. :-)

Baovy and Vu are cyclists, so they wanted to incorporate this into their session. And down further, you’ll see it in their wedding as well. I am a sucker for themes!

Go here to see more of the engagement session. Now for the wedding:

how elegant is the room Baovy is getting ready in? love the writings on the wall…

I love this next one- who cares if your wedding day is cold, if you’re going to get to snuggle up like this.

Pictures of the fabulous details coming up soon!

bridesmaids with different dresses and bouquets

I think this week I am going to highlight some unique bride and wedding party styles that I’ve come across lately. Yesterday, we saw beautiful Magen, photographed by Mimi & Karl in a short vintage wedding dress. Today is all about the wedding party. Take a look at this wedding by Palos Studio. Not only do the bridesmaids have different dresses and shoes, they each have a unique bouquet. I LOVE IT!

Just goes to show you don’t have to stick with the norm- let your own style shine through!

a gray and pink wedding

For my inaugural post, I decided to create a pink and gray inspiration board to match the Pretty Chicky page. What a chic combination! (if I do say so myself!) Perfect for a girly bride that wants a touch of elegance. This combo would be great for a daytime wedding and would also sparkle at night with lots of silver details and candlelight. Can’t you just imagine the bride with a beautiful pink bouquet of peonies and pink shoes? I love it!

One of my favs: The birch cone by Muscari would be great topped with pink flowers, hanging from aisle chairs.
