mini flower centerpieces

Good Morning! I hope you all are having a less hectic week than I am! My google reader is in the 1000′s (items to read). These beauties popped up at the top, and I love them! From a great blog called Sunday Suppers. Not a wedding blog, but super inspiring. (Photos by Karen Mordechai, flowers by Rountree)

Love those brown bottles. This is perfect for a DIY wedding!

After spending the morning swooning over Brett & Bowen’s wedding, I made my way over to the Flush Designs site to check out more of Courtney’s work. I’m posting some of it here for your inspiration. Beautiful!

petal push: ranunculus at your wedding

You’ve probably seen this flower in bouquets and centerpieces all over the web. It seems to be a beautiful complement to many types of flowers and equally stunning on its own. Ranunculus offer a unique look even when they are not fully opened. Here are some of the color options for the Ranunculus:

Ranunculus are a great option for DIY flowers- according to Martha, they last up to a week after being cut. Plus, you can create several types of moods with this flower depending on your taste. The white ranunculus are romantic and soft, while the pink and orange are cheery and fun. How cute and simple is this centerpiece from Martha Stewart Weddings? This has DIY written all over it!

There’s also a great post on Ranunculus and its origin, etc on the Design Sponge blog, here.

I found a GORGEOUS centerpiece on Martha Stewart Weddings, so I’ll have a new inspiration board soon!

petal push:phalenopsis orchids

When I saw this bouquet, I had to post it for today. I’m not really a fan of hanging bouquets for the bride, but I LOVE this one. These are phalenopsis orchids that apparently come priced by the bloom, rather than the stem, like roses and other flowers. I think this flower would be beautiful used in a wedding with rich chocolate browns and wood textures. Sigh. This one may not be for the budget bride, but we can be inspired!
