wedding invitation website

Happy Friday! I stumbled upon another way to announce your wedding- a cute and simple website! Created by Fuzzco. Love it!

video save the dates

Am I behind the times or what? I had no idea how many couples were using these to announce their nuptials! I started out on this quest to find video invites after watching this one that was posted by a bride on the Wedding Chicks site. Super Cute!—a slice of invite from Jodi Miller on Vimeo.

And look at all these other fantastic ones!

wedding invitations from Chewing the Cud

So this isn’t a sponsored post, although it may seem like it. I just happen to be so in love with the work from Chewing the Cud, that I decided to dedicate this post to them. :-) No need for much explanation, just take a look at what they can produce.

A comic book wedding invitation

Remember that engagement session that was turned into a comic book? Well, look what else I stumbled upon! Heidi Ryder is one of my twitter friends, and yesterday I found her super creative and unique wedding invitations posted on her photo blog. Before we get to the invites though, I should mention that I also love Heidi’s work- her pictures are fantastic!

Heidi’s husband, Chris, is a self-proclaimed comic book nerd. The couple wanted to be sure that every aspect of their wedding was a reflection of who they were. Heidi & Chris enlisted the help of Chris’ friend, Tony Fleecs, a comic book artist, to create these custom, personalized invitations. I’m a sucker for bright colors, and creativity anyways, but the artistry of these take them to a whole other level!

Lesson here- don’t be afraid to inject some personality into your wedding- even if you’re a nerd. :-)

From Heidi’s blog:  “It really makes Chris and I feel good to know that people have responded so positively to a project that was very personal to us. The best part is, the comic book did its job of setting a tone for the whole wedding (no, we didn’t have a comic book themed wedding, though there was an Incredible Hulk on top of our cake—but that’s another blog entry). People took one look at that invite and were actually excited to attend our wedding. Score one for the bride and groom (that’s us)!”

Thank you for letting me share your invites Heidi!

handmade art made from paper

I am so intrigued by these handmade Paper Cuts by MadeByJulene. These would make a great first anniversary gift (paper is the first gift) or great signage for your wedding day. Really, you could find tons of uses for these. I want one!
